Ingredients
- 2 cupsPlain yogurt
preferably fresh and thick
- 1 mediumCucumber
finely chopped or grated
- 2 tablespoonsFresh coriander leaves
finely chopped
- 1 smallGreen chili
finely chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoonRoasted cumin powder
- 0 Β½ teaspoonBlack salt
or to taste
- 0 ΒΌ teaspoonRegular salt
or to taste
- 1 tablespoonMint leaves
finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk the plain yogurt until smooth and creamy.
Add the finely chopped or grated cucumber to the yogurt.
Mix in the fresh coriander leaves, green chili (if using), and mint leaves.
Sprinkle the roasted cumin powder, black salt, and regular salt over the mixture.
Stir everything together evenly.
Chill the raita in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
